The BlazeSports Veterans Immersion Program created in partnership with Georgia Aquarium is an amazing new program for our veterans!
This incredible program is designed to give our veterans the chance to try a unique adjunctive therapy and enjoy a simply “cool” opportunity to swim or float in the largest fish tank in the world (6.3 million gallons)!
Be prepared to get out of your comfort zones floating alongside whale sharks and manta rays while relaxing and moving in the water in ways you may not be able to on land. See what participants are saying about the program in this video from WSB-TV.
Georgia Aquarium has hosted more than 1,300 military personnel who have been physically, emotionally, or mentally wounded – injuries both seen and unseen (from quadriplegia or amputations to post traumatic stress or traumatic brain injuries).
WHAT TO EXPECT
Veterans will attend a briefing, change into bathing suits & wetsuits, and enter the water for an amazing 30-minute respite from the everyday world along with almost 5,000 animals and a highly trained Georgia Aquarium support team. Wetsuits, booties, and all equipment for the experience
