International Programs

”Sport is a universal  language that can bring people together, no matter what their origin,  background, and religious beliefs or economic status.”  Kofi Annan,  Former UN Secretary General

The International Division, alongside the Global Policy and Outreach Division, at BlazeSports has been delivering quality Paralympic and inclusive sports opportunities worldwide since the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta.

BlazeSports International programs are delivered with both in country and global partners to ensure the effectiveness of delivering the below messages:

  • Sport has the ability to engage with more people in a shared experience than any other cultural tradition today.

  • Paralympic sport is a proven and effective tool for social change as the highly visible nature of sport dispels misconceptions and stereotypes about.

  • Participating in physical activity can help to raise awareness and social integration of those, with or without a disability, who may have been marginalized or oppressed within society.

  • Women and girls with and without disabilities who participate in sport are healthier and more empowered, and their participation in sport promotes inclusion in larger society.

  • Sport has the capacity to provide not only physical benefits, but also social, emotional, and psychological benefits to its participants.
