BlazeSports America is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization. We rely on grants and contributions from individuals, foundations, and other sources for the development and operation of our programs and services. We directly impact the lives of people with physical disabilities by facilitating year round community-based sports programs, summer camps, BlazeDays in the Schools, competitions, sports clinics, annual conference, and distance learning for parents and professionals. Participation in sports is as important in the life of a young person with a physical disability as it is for any child. Sports teach values, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and help to instill self-confidence and independence. Your support is needed to help bring the benefits of sports to even more young Americans with physical disabilities.

How important is your support?

Listen to a few parents as they share what participation on BlazeSports has meant to their child. “This program has helped our son grow in confidence, maturity, as well as developing into a better individual. There are limited programs available for kids with disabilities but the BlazeSports program is more than just an opportunity to provide an outlet for sports, it incorporates life skills.”

What will a donation provide?
$50 will pay for one-day of a sports camp or clinic
$375 will send a kid to BlazeCamp
$1000 will pay for a new sports chair

Become a Volunteer Today!

 

BlazeSports utilizes a multi-disciplinary volunteer and pro-bono workforce to assist the organization in delivering programs and services to youth and adults with disabilities. Volunteers help organize events, teach sport skills, and serve in administrative capacities. Volunteers also provide coaching or serve as camp counselors. Those working in direct programming typically must be at least 18 years old, submit to a background check, and attend a BlazeSports volunteer training orientation.

Volunteers working in fundraising and special events do not need experience in disability sports. All that is required is a commitment to the mission. To learn more about available volunteer oppurtunities visit our Volunteer Match Profile.

Donate an Automobile

 

 

 

 

You can now donate your used vehicle to support BlazeSports America.

Donate For Charity arranges a free vehicle pickup, handles all the DMV processing, sells the vehicle at auction, and turns over the net proceeds to BlazeSports America. So if it’s time to replace an old car, consider making a donation. Donate For Charity will sell the vehicle and you will receive a receipt entitling you to a tax deduction.
