Blazers Continue to Set New National Records

After countless hours of practicing over the past four months, ten Georgia Blazers will be competing in the WASUSA 2013 National Junior Disabilities Championships in Rochester, Minnesota, July 6th – 12th.

BlazeSports has 4 swimmers competing in both the long and short courses; Victoria Beelner (Decatur) and Maya Kahn (Marietta) are competing in their final meet prior to the 2013 World Dwarf Games being held at Michigan State University, August 3-10, Trey Davis (Dalton) who is coming off a great spring series of competitions, and a new team member Andrew Dickerson from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who is swimming at NJDC for the first time.  These four swimmers will be competing July 7th and July 9th.

Six Blazers will be participating in Track and Field events; James Adams (Acworth), Collin Lancaster (Bethlehem), Chance Boyd (Atlanta), Bryan Powell (Marietta), Curran Brown (Johns Creek), and JaQue Billingsley (Kathleen) who is also competing in the powerlifting event on July 9th.    The Track and Field events will be held July 10th – 12th.  Bryan Powell and Curran Brown will use this meet to prepare for the IWAS World Junior Games being held in Puerto Rico in August. Chance Boyd and JaQue Billingsley will be competing in their first NJDC.  Collin Lancaster hopes to improve on his National Record set at the Dixie Games in May, while James Adams will be debuting a brand new Eagle racing chair in hopes of making his mark on the T52 national records.
