BlazeSports, with funding from USAID funding, has been conducting several festivals and “come and play” events since January 2013. These events have been made possible following the intensive training program, facilitated by BlazeSports in November 2012. Thanks to partnerships with 5 Sports Clubs, the Hashemite Military Veterans and the National Paralympic Committee development department, these BlazeSports-funded programs are now delivering weekly sports sessions collectively serving nearly 1000 persons with physical disabilities in Jordan.

In addition to these weekly activities, multiple festivals have been held across Jordan, increasing the visibility of individuals with physical disability, especially women and girls. Coaches trained by BlazeSports delivered these festivals offering a variety of adapted sports including table tennis, boccia, 7- a-side football and athletics.

The BlazeSports International team travels to Jordan over the next two weeks to train to over 200 physical education teachers in collaboration with the Jordan Ministry of Education.  Other activities in Jordan will include training on women and leadership, 7–a- side football, and wheelchair basketball, and delivering sport festivals with the National Paralympic Committee and the Jordanian Football Association.Stay tuned for more pics!
