BlazeDay at Mt. Bethel Elementary Brings Awareness to 1,500 Students

BlazeSports visited Cotton Indian Elementary and M.t Bethel Elementary in January to deliver our disability awareness program.  Across the 2 schools, over 1,500 children from K-5 experienced the BlazeDay activities including sitting volleyball, wheelchair relays, boccia and goalball.  Students at Mt. Bethel were also treated to a visit from former Georgia Blazers Chandler White and James Adams.  James and Chandler currently play for the Shepherd Stealers who compete in the Championship Division of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association impressed with their wheelchair basketball skills and answered questions from the students about their experiences as athletes with a disability.
