BlazeSports CDSS Training Heads East

BlazeSports Institute of Applied Science (BIAS) kicks off April by bringing the Certified Disability Sport Specialist Credential to Slippery Rock University. During this two-day workshop, BlazeSports experts will offer SRU faculty and students the opportunity to take part in interactive lectures, get hands-on training with adaptive equipment, and complete the requirements to be a Certified Disability Sport Specialist. BlazeSports America is excited to offer the CDSS training to a university with such a rich tradition of providing professional preparation programs in special education, therapeutic recreation, physical education, and physical therapy for individuals with disabilities. Slippery Rock’s Center on Disability and Health offers the Adapted Physical Activity (APA) Program, a multidisciplinary program that provides training and practical experiences for students working in physical activity and wellness promotion for individuals with disabilities.
